Scientific Name: Nymphaea Caerulea
Common Name: Blue Lotus, Sacred Lotus, Blue Lily
Origin: Thailand
This flower, commonly called the Blue Lotus (although true lotus is Nelumbo Nucifera), was important to the ancient egyptians as a spiritual symbol and popular relaxing herb.
Modern explorers report very pleasant effects from this herb, including enhanced vision (colors, contrast, sharpness), aphrodesiac effects, euphoria, sedation, and sometimes stimulation.
Blue Lotus has a marked synergy with alcohol. Ancient people would often soak a fresh flower in a bottle of wine before drinking it, creating a unique euphoric stimulation.
