Chaliponga, Chagroponga, Oco-yage, and Banisteriopsis rusbyana are all names for this incredible plant known as Diplopterys cabrerana. Chaliponga has been traditionally used throughout the upper Amazon as an admixture to ayahuasca. Although Psychotria viridis is more prevalent in the literature, chaliponga is preferred in most areas of the upper Amazon.
